Most Push-Ups On Glass Bottles: Giuliano Stroe sets world record (Video)
BUCHAREST, Romania -- Romanian Giuliano Stroe, 7, performed 8 push-ups (the other 4 were not completed) while while balancing on four glass bottles - setting the world record for the Most push-ups while balancing glass bottles, according to World Records Academy (www.worldrecordsacademy.org). The Guinness world record for the most vertical push-ups in one minute is 41 and was set by Murad Gadaborchev on the set of L'Ete De Tous Les Records, Biscarrosse, France.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most push ups with claps performed in one minute: 73, by Stephen Buttler (UK) in Morda, Shropshire, UK.
Giuliano Stroe (born July 18, 2004) is a 7-year-old gymnast of Romanian descent. Giuliano Stroe has been lifting weights and learning gymnastics since he was two-years-old in Florence, Italy where his family lived. They now live again in Romania.
Giuliano Stroe has been weight training since the age of 2. He finally earned his place in the Guinness Book of World Records after an appearance on an Italian TV show.
Giuliano's father Iulian, 33-years-old, said he has been taking Giuliano with him to the gym ever since he was born, but he is careful not to push Giuliano too hard. Stroe insists his son's workout schedule isn't excessive.
"He is never allowed to practice on his own, he is only a child and if he gets tired we go and play," Iulian said.
Giuliano says his newfound celebrity has not gone to his head. He adds that he still does normal seven-year-old activities like watching cartoons and painting.
